The King has now dedicated his life to the service of the United Kingdom and the 15 realms of which he acts as Head of State. As Queen Elizabeth II did, I know that he will carry out his duties with dignity and grace.
Working members of the Royal Family assist The King in carrying out his duties. These include official state responsibilities in the UK and overseas. Members of the Royal Family also support the public and charitable sector and around 3,000 organisations have a member of the Royal Family as president or patron.
The Police carry out investigations where they feel it is necessary. I understand that the police explained their decision making stating, "that having interviewed several witnesses and examined more than 200 documents, no further action would be taken. With the benefit of the CPS’s early investigative advice, and after careful consideration of the information received as a result of the investigation to date, the Met has concluded that no further action will be taken in this matter".
The Sovereign plays an important constitutional role and The King and the Royal Family have a special place in the hearts of the British people.
