Thank you for contacting me about the Time for Talk Day campaign.
I fully recognise that living through the pandemic over the last two years has had a significant impact on the mental health of individuals, families and communities.
That is why I warmly welcomed the efforts of Mind, Rethink Mental Illness and the Co-Op to raise awareness of the importance of individuals reaching out to talk and listen to others about their mental health on Thursday 3 February.
The Government published a Covid-19 Mental Health and Wellbeing Recovery Action Plan in March 2021. This plan set out a number of actions to prevent, mitigate and respond to the mental health impacts of the pandemic during 2021 to 2022.
If you, or someone you know, needs advice or support about your mental health, you may want to signpost them to charities like Mind or Rethink Mental Illness, or access the information provided by them online. Further information regarding support on the Isle of Wight can also be found here: Isle of Wight Community Mental Health (iwmentalhealth.co.uk)
Thank you once again for contacting me.
