Bob Seely MP said: “Really pleased to receive the news that the Isle of Wight College has been successful in its bid to the Department for Education’s Growth Fund.
“The fund will support the college to deliver high-quality Higher Technical Education which is great news for young Islanders.
“Higher Technical Qualifications are designed to meet the needs of employers so that future employment gaps can be filled, which gives students good job prospects once they have gained their qualifications. It also gives employers the opportunity to select new recruits that can hit the ground running.
“I’m pleased that the Government continues to invest in education on the Isle of Wight and I was very pleased to be able to support the bid. I look forward to seeing how the IW College advances over the coming months and years under Debbie Lavin’s excellent leadership.”
